Assi Dimitrolopoulou is a Scenographer, Production Designer, Architect, and Lecturer in Scenography (Special Teaching and Research Staff) at the University of the Peloponnese in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Theatre Studies.
Assi studied Architecture in Athens, Diploma in Architecture at NTUA, National Technical University (1991).

She teaches scenography at the Department of Theatre Studies UOP since 2004 and she has been assistant professor at the University of Patras, Department of Theatre Studies (2001-2003). In addition to her research and teaching axes, she has created many live performances in abandoned buildings and public spaces in Nafplio.
She works as a scenographer, production designer and architect since 1993. Her work includes over 100 collaborations with Festival OFF d’Avignon, France, Athens and Epidaurus Festival, Greek National Theatre, Greek Art Theatre Carolos Koun, the National Theatre of Northern Greece, Megaron Athens Concert Hall, Amore Theatre and other theatres in Athens, in Municipal Theatres and films. She has also worked in the Paris Opera (Opéra National de Paris) and Brussels (La Monnaie) and in other major theatres in Paris (Théâtre National de Chaillot and La Colline - Théâtre National) and in Orleans (Centre dramatique National Orléans).
Assi was production & costume designer on eleven films. Her career began as production designer in Athens and assistant designer to Jérôme Savary, John MacFarlane, Gilles Aillaud and Silvia Hasenclever in Paris.
She has participated in over 30 national and international festivals. She has been awarded (14) for her work in theatre, architecture and cinema with national and international awards. Also, she has organized and participated in art & scenography exhibitions including “New Scenographers” at the National Theatre of Greece in 2002 and she has organized the official participation of the Department of Theatre Studies UOP in PQ: Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space 2015.
