Emmanouela Vogiatzaki-Krukowski is a Visual Artist, a member of the Special Teaching Staff (ΕΕΠ) of the University of Peloponnesus. She holds MA and BA (Honors) in Set and Costume Design from the Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, a BA in Economics from the University of Athens and an MA in Audio-Visual Production from the London Metropolitan University. She currently pursues her PhD research at the Open University of Cyprus (subject: Cyborgism and performance Art. Directing, designing and spectating connected-technologized bodies). She has attended specialization courses in “Technical Theatre” at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the “Neutral Mask” by the Théâtre de Complicité, the “Physical Theatre” at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She has attended training courses, including the “Film Cameras” at the Panico Studios, “TV Production”, “Vision Mixing” and “Digital Editing” at the London Goldsmiths University, as well as “Crossing the Celluloid-Interactivity and Performance” by Forkbeard Fantasy. She worked for BBC News Resources in London as a TV Studio Operator, responsible for robotic cameras and lights during live News-24 broadcasts. Her work portfolio includes more than 30 theatre productions, 20 short films and 1 feature, screened at Curzon Cinema in London, British Film Institute, as well as conducting focused research work under European Framework 7 program, Horizon 2020 etc. She has authored two theatre plays, published a number of conference articles and has presented a number of invited lectures. She frequently participates as a Technical Committee member at prestigious national and international conferences, festivals and other events. Her research interests include: Cyborg Theatre, Virtual Environments and 3D Sets, Tele-Presence and Smart Collaborative Environments, Mixed Real, Virtual and Immersive-Reality Systems and Immersive User Interfaces, Serious Gaming in the Context of e-Health (rehabilitation), Media Broadcasting and Future TV/Cinema beyond HD.
